Ayushman Bharat Health Scheme

It's a welfare scheme which is pro poor and truly deserves thumbs up for including almost 40% of the population. In fact, Modi government has been so concerned about the well-being of the masses that it has taken many strides in this direction. Stents cost were brought down and made affordable and dialysis centers were opened over 600 districts of the country not long ago. Going by the old Sanskrit adage, 'सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः, सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः ' the Prime Minister has brought meaningful outcomes to the lives of the people which can be best judged by the following measures taken up by the government during the last four years:
First, the Prime Minister took initiative to popularize yoga and made it a mass movement during a very short span. Due to his efforts, June 22 was declared Yoga Day by the United Nations. Its no denying the fact that Yoga helps in keeping body and mind fit by relieving stress. By regularly doing Yoga, one can remain healthy and fit.
Second, from the beginning of his tenure, the Prime Minister is on mission mode to accomplish Swachh Bharat. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan speaks about how, state after state is becoming Open Defecation Free and how the Prime Minister himself leads from the front in achieving the set targets. He more often than not, walks the talk. He has been relentless in his efforts throughout his tenure. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in itself is about making India rid of many diseases.
Third, the PMJAY i.e. Prime Minister Jan Arogya Abhiyan or 'Ayushman Bharat: or 'Modi Care' is a wonderful scheme which aims to provide total health care to its million citizens. It's success depends upon the system and technology. On the one hand, it will provide health cover of ₹,5,00,000 to a family per year and on the other hand, it will help in creation of over one lakh jobs and other infrastructure including network of hospitals and Wellness Centers.
How I so often wished that the government should come forward and shoulder the responsibility of expenditure that incurs on well being of poor citizens. After all, people fall sick due to poor sanitation, adulteration in food stuffs, overuse of pesticides, poor working conditions and lack of potable water and clean environment etc. And the government has taken responsibility at last.
